Hotel rooms are limited. You are urged to make your reservations early. A limited number of rooms have been reserved until April 13th at the Carolina Inn and The Franklin Hotel. Please specify that you will be attending this program to receive the special reduced rates.

Student Housing

How to Get to Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) is 30 minutes east of downtown Chapel Hill. RDU offers passengers a variety of transportation options ranging from taxi and limousine service to rental cars and shuttle buses. RDU also offers connections to local bus and train stations.

Air Travel
For air travel assistance, please contact the ANCA Travel Department at (617) 559-3773; (877) 559-3773 (if calling outside of Massachusetts); or click here to send an E-mail.  American Airlines offers a daily non-stop flight from Heathrow (LHR) to Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). 

UNC student volunteers will be greeting travelers in the baggage claim section of RDU.  They can assist you with your luggage and provide directions and transportation options to get to The Carolina Inn or the Franklin Hotel.  Once your travel plans are known, please forward your itinerary to us so that we can ensure volunteers will be available to meet and greet your flight. 

Taxi Service
RDU Airport Taxi Service is operated by RDU Taxi, Inc. To schedule a taxi, please call (919) 840-7277. Reservations and on-demand service are available. The estimated fare to Chapel Hill is $37.60

Airport Shuttle
SuperShuttle offers shared-ride van service from RDU to Chapel Hill. The company accepts reservations through their website supershuttle.com as well as at one of the three SuperShuttle counters at RDU.

Public Transportation via the Triangle Transit Airport Shuttle
Passengers can take Triangle Transit shuttle transportation to and Chapel Hill. The adult fare for Triangle Transit travel is $2.00 for a one-way trip, or $4.00 for a Regional Day Pass good for travel on all public transportation systems in the Triangle (does not include Greyhound).
